Vancouver Guitar Lessons with Blue Morris
Learn how to play guitar! PDF Print E-mail

I may be able to accept one more student right now, but only if our schedules matched. I also have a short waiting list for those who are waiting for specific times. Please contact me for more info, thanks!

Take private guitar lessons with Blue Morris in his comfortable heritage apartment in Vancouver!

I can teach you how to play guitar and how to appreciate music on a deeper level.

Learn the instrument inside and out

When you know the guitar like the back of your hand, you know in an instant exactly where every note is. The instrument can become an extension of you -- perfectly comfortable and natural.

Learn how to teach yourself new songs

Whatever style of music you want to play -- Rock, Pop, Jazz -- by learning basic music theory, how to read music, and how to transcribe music, you'll know how to play anything, any time.

Learn how to love making mistakes

Miles Davis said, "There are no wrong notes." Any musician of any ability makes mistakes. Learn how to be comfortable making mistakes, and turn mistakes into music.

The next Beatles Burlesque show will be at the historic Columbia Theatre on March 24th! Tickets are available from Brown Paper Tickets.

Columbia Theatre Stage

Formerly known as the Burr Theatre, the 1927 theatre is valued as one of the only surviving atmospheric theatres in B.C. and one of only a few remaining in Canada. The inside has been completely restored and it's beautiful!

The theatre is just a block from the Columbia SkyTrain station, so it's easy to get to even if you don't live in New West.

I have heard many stories from current students about their past guitar teachers and these stories often leave me shaking my head. The good thing is that it helps me to know why it is that my students continue lessons with me.

10 Signs You Need a Better Guitar Teacher

  1. Your teacher can't remember what you learned last week, or even what level you are at. He or she asks you at the beginning of each lesson: "So what do you want to learn today?"

  2. Your teacher has no plan for the lesson, and no structured plan for your long-term development as a guitar player and musician. He or she may even be oblivious to the kinds of music that you want to learn.

  3. Your teacher offers little or no encouragement.

  4. You leave your guitar lessons feeling uninspired, and don't want to practice
