This has been re-posted on other artists' blogs lately, but it's so poignant I feel like I should post it to my own site as well. I found it on Keri Smith's blog.

I agree with all 10 points, and have certainly fallen victim to most of them, except number 3. I'm usually involved in a few different projects at the same time, and I've never expected any one of them to make it or break it. I think it's critical for artists to be as versatile as possible, especially if you're attempting to make money as an artist.
I'm currently focusing on Pink Flamingo Burlesque, Blue Morris 6 Swing Band, Leonard and the Lab Rats, plus my own various compositions.
