No other art form comes closer to the way it
feels to experience life. Jazz is life: We make
it up as we go along.
Bones about it
A song has structure, but a jazz musician hears
music both inside and outside the song.
No matter how much we pretend there is order
to our lives, each day we are surprised.
The lost & found
The music can only guide you to a place you want
to go. You will only hear what you allow yourself
to hear.
The motions
One must learn the rules, then one must learn to
break the rules. Until then, you are only
practicing.
