I wouldn't say I agree with this 100%, but it does make think of another quote I read recently:

"I don't know anything about music. In my line, you don't have to."
- Elvis Presley

The entire quote from Nietzche is actually:

"Only sick music makes money today; our big theaters subsist on Wagner."

...Maybe Nietzche didn't like the Valkyries.
