Carly Rae Jepsen is now in the top 8 of Canadian Idol and we're all voting for her. My mom voted for her for two hours straight on Monday night.
In the last episode she sang "Georgia on My Mind." It was kind of sad for me to watch her sing that song because it's a song we used to perform regularly, for a couple years. But it's a great choice for her and she sings it wonderfully.
Here are the lyrics to another song we played, this one the famous "Blues for Carly" (aka "I Want to Meet Boys") which Carly sang on our indie CD which is available for sale online. As I mentioned in a previous post, it took a lot of persuasion to get Carly to sing this song. But it became probably our most famous and most frequently requested song at gigs.
