 Leonard and the Lab Rats - Lonely Avenue MP3
All that we say and do has impact on the world and the people around us.
 There is so much selfishness in our culture, and the true tragedy of it is that many people take pride in this selfishness.
Here's the argument I hear them make:
"I have to be myself and if it hurts other people or causes damage to the world around me, I'm not going to feel guilty about that."
Follow that line of thought and we will have so much more suffering--environmental damage, wars, broken communities, families and relationships. The guilt you feel is a signpost. It's trying to tell you something so don't push it aside.
Everything we do and say has an impact. While it's important to be ourselves, we must have compassion for others or we will leave in our paths destruction and suffering.
Words are very powerful, just as powerful as actions. Do not speak with reckless abandon. Take care with what you say and how you say it.
Make your impact on this world a positive contribution. Be honest with yourself, but do no harm.
A difficult balance perhaps. We cannot walk on thin ice without hearing it crack, but choose your steps wisely and we may all cross the pond dry and safe.
Take care of the impact you have on this world, or we will all end up on Lonely Avenue....
