Who is Blue?

Blue has been teaching guitar lessons for over 12 years from his studio in East Vancouver. He specializes in teaching beginner and intermediate levels in the folk, rock, blues and country genres.

Blue is also a working musician, currently performing and recording with country artist Taylor-Rae. Their full-length album was released in June 2019.

Blue creates music with a vintage folk-rock vibe. He turns typical songwriting tropes on their heads with unexpected stories that somehow everyone can still relate to.

His first album of original music, "Unlikely Rockstars" was released September 2016.

He was a major force in bringing live music to theatre, dance, and circus in Vancouver. He was a co-producer of the theatrical circus hit "Nightmare Before the Nutcracker," and producer of Rock and Roll Burlesque and many others in Vancouver.

Blue was on the board of directors for the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival 2012 and 2013.

Performance highlights include touring Western Canada with Taylor-Rae, performing at the Burlesque Hall of Fame (Las Vegas), Tease-O-Rama (San Francisco), Windy City Burlesque Festival (Chicago), The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, The Vancouver Jazz Festival, Vogue Theatre, River Rock Casino, Edgewater Casino, Maple Ridge Jazz Festival, The Cellar Jazz Club (Vancouver).
