Eric Clapton "Wonderful Tonight" guitar chords

Eric Clapton Wonderful Tonight album cover

I have already written a solo fingerstyle chart for this song so I thought I should also just upload a simple chord chart. The song works quite well with just a simple strum pattern on acoustic guitar.

Try this strum pattern below. Think of the grey arrows as the missed strums -- the times that you do not actually strum. Your hand must still move upwards without hitting the strings so that the next strum is in the correct direction.

If you want some more help with strumming, check out my Strumming Guitar Like a Pro book available on Amazon.

The D/F# can be played like this, using your thumb on the low E string to hold down the F#: 200232.
